Residency Graduation Spring 2010

"I am very honored to receive this award,
to stand here be giving this speech.

I used to stumble upon words in Japanese when I first came here, but now after years of learning in Kobe I feel that I have the same confidence as speaking in English.
Thank you to my very supportive and encouraging colleagues, my respectful doctors and all co-medical members for the great hospitality and I would like say that I'm lucky and proud to be a member of this Kobe Univ family.
I am given the chance to continue my carrier at a new place starting next Spring and I hope to return and through my experiences I will try to explore and contribute more on this Univ role in academic tasks, and achieve my aim, wishing for excellence in international medical relationships especially with my own country in the future.
Thank You"

Kind of a lame speech kana? Maybe it sounded better in the original Japanese version.
Wasn't even prepared and there were only seconds after the announcement and getting up on the stage. Giving the speech felt good, but there was this kind of pressure when I recalled it and actually jotted every word.

People say it's good to have aims in life, and it's natural that you change them every now and then. It means that you're eventually aware of them.
Me and him, we talk about our intentions and aims almost everyday, our strategy of being supportive for the time being.

I feel very blessed that I love my life, to have my family and my friends.
I may have been living in a fantasyland. So, NOW is just the beginning, there is still a universe-wide real world to counter. よし!

This is us 2010

"Thank you for the 17 years of support"
from BSB This Is Us Kobe Tour, 9th Feb 2010.

17 years.
I wonder how they had succeeded their years, and how will they counter their years to come.
Guess i somehow succeeded my ...+8 yrs, but how am i going to face my upcoming years.
How do people managed to stay on the path to their dreams.
We say the secrets to success are hard work and determination.
I agree, but if something really depends only on hard work, most of us will eventually give up and quit our desired life dreams at some point or another.Even me.
Wauu, that was hard thinking! Off for now...
Guess what I should or can do now is focus and visualize my dreams and keep my motivation up! im not sure bout you guys but I'd rather keep dreaming and achieve my goals and have fun doing it! above all!
I think this is what he's been doing all these while! My favourite 'he':)

p/s:
The actual main point of this post-BSBs great!
my first time attending a live concert, happened to be the BSB's..
my first time acknowledging their existence, and...
i definitely find them gorgeous and their songs great!
kinda still having this BSB fever!
to my lovely live companions fiqah n ashfa, hugs!
Last and most of all ty to the VIP seats!!

Marriage Blessing..

Date: 17th January 2010
Venue: Sola, Kobe

A bright and sunny Sunday.
Dressed in my traditional purple Batik Kebaya.
Sola was nice and lovely.
The bride in her beautiful white gown.
The bridegroom in his own casual style.
Entrusted as the "ring girl", I walked the aisle.
Tears dropped, cherishing the meaningful moment.
A couple united, witnessed by the "Sola".

This is the first time I attended a Japanese friends wedding, happily accepted the role bringing the "knot ring" but I realized then it wasn't as easy as it sounds. Everything was lovely, and they looked happy, faces full of hope and faith as they're actually papa and mama to be. Wishing them a future full of happiness, wealth and good health... Lastly, a wedding poem to share;

In the marriage the little things are the big things.
It is never being too old to hold hands.
It is remembering to say 'I love you' at least once a day.
It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives.
It is standing together and facing the world.....
It is forming a circle of love that gathers in the whole family.
It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways.
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.
It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow.
It is a common search for the good and the beautiful.
It is not only marrying the right person.
It is being the right partner.

"You don't marry someone you can live with - you marry the person who you cannot live without."...

Year 2010

"We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called "Opportunity" and its first chapter is New Year's Day"..Edith Lovejoy Pierce

New Year approached, not considering whether we're prepared to welcome it or not.
1.Appreciate (not regret) past mistakes,
2.Make new resolutions,
3.Start afresh about things.
These should have made a perfect opening for my new year.
One resolution I've made which is kind of simple but I'll always try to keep: is to
rise above little things.

2010:

My 3rd yr as a medical professional,
My 1st yr in radiation oncology,
My 1st yr away from my university hospital,
his 1st yr as a postgraduate student,
These life's challenges, they're not supposed to paralyze us, they're to help discover ourselves. Consider it an opportunity to build our faith, inner strength and courage...

今年も張り切って頑張ろうね!
Welcoming Year 2010! and my new Diana Blog!
